Maram Tirupathi Yadav (born 11 February 1979) is an Indian social activist, public leader, political organizer, entrepreneur, and advocate for the rights of workers, shepherds, farmers, and marginalized communities. Widely recognized for his unwavering commitment to public welfare, Yadav has devoted more than two decades to grassroots activism, democratic movements, and community empowerment across Telangana.

From humble beginnings in a working-class family to becoming one of the state's most respected public campaigners, his life reflects perseverance, courage, and an enduring belief that social justice is achieved through action rather than words. Early Life and Family Background

Maram Tirupathi Yadav was born on 11 February 1979 in Bhimaram, then in the undivided Adilabad district (now Mancherial district), Telangana, at his maternal grandparents' residence. His ancestral home is in Julapalli village, Julapalli Mandal, Peddapalli District.

He was born into a hardworking family deeply connected to the coal mining community. His father served as an employee of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), exposing the young Yadav to the realities of laborers' lives from an early age. Witnessing the struggles of workers, farmers, and economically disadvantaged families instilled in him a profound sense of social responsibility that would later define his life's mission.

He completed his primary education at Venkateswara Vidyalaya in Maredpaka–Krishnanagar, continued at Satavahana Vidyalaya, Venkatraopalli, and later pursued secondary education at the Government High School, Bhimaram.

Student Leadership: The Birth of a People's Leader

Maram Tirupathi Yadav's leadership qualities emerged remarkably early. Although he contested student elections in the seventh and eighth grades without success, defeat only strengthened his determination.

In an extraordinary achievement, while studying in the ninth grade, he contested and won the prestigious post of School President—a position traditionally held by tenth-grade students. His landslide victory marked the beginning of an influential journey in public leadership.

One of his earliest public victories came in 1993 during a State-Level Science Exhibition held in Chennur, where his Physics project earned the Second Prize.

During the felicitation ceremony, instead of merely expressing gratitude, the young Yadav boldly raised a long-standing concern before the District Collector. He questioned why 127 students of Bhimaram School were forced to travel to the distant Jaipur examination centre, while schools with far fewer students enjoyed their own examination facilities.

His courageous intervention prompted immediate administrative action, resulting in the establishment of a Class X Examination Centre at Bhimaram School.

This achievement became his first successful public campaign, earning him widespread admiration and establishing his reputation as a fearless advocate for people's rights.

Higher Education and Standing Against Injustice

After completing Intermediate studies at the Government Science College, Karimnagar, Yadav secured an excellent rank in the Polytechnic Entrance Examination and enrolled in the VKR & VNB Polytechnic College, Gudivada, where he pursued a Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering (DECE).

During his college years, he confronted and opposed the practice of ragging, particularly the discrimination faced by Telangana students. His determined stand contributed significantly to strengthening anti-ragging measures on campus and demonstrated his lifelong commitment to dignity and equality.

He later completed his Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Peddapalli.

During 2007–2008, he served as a Part-Time Lecturer at VITS Engineering College, sharing his technical knowledge with aspiring engineers.

In 2009, he qualified through the PGECET examination and joined Spoorthy Engineering College, Hyderabad, to pursue an M.Tech degree. However, following the sudden demise of his father in November 2009, he assumed family responsibilities and was compelled to discontinue his postgraduate studies.

Professional Career and Entrepreneurial Journey

Maram Tirupathi Yadav began his professional career in diverse technical roles, including:

• Assistant Sound Engineer at Padmalaya Studios

• Apprentice at Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL)

• Technical employment in the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) Project

Despite receiving opportunities for permanent employment and career advancement, he chose to resign due to disagreements over administrative injustices.

In 2002, he entered entrepreneurship, successfully establishing ventures in finance, hospitality, education, and retail. Together with business associates, he contributed to enterprises including Gayatri Finance, hospitality businesses, and Sri Vaishnavi IIT Olympiad School in Godavarikhani.

However, in 2016, partnership disputes and financial liabilities resulted in severe losses, forcing him to part with assets worth several crores of rupees.

Rather than surrendering to adversity, Yadav rebuilt his life with renewed determination, redirecting his energies entirely toward public service.

Dedication to Social Service

Yadav's organized social service began in 2000, when he co-founded Ever Green Youth along with childhood friends in the 8th Colony area.

The organization actively conducted numerous welfare initiatives benefiting local communities.

In January 2001, with the support of then MLA Duddilla Sridhar Babu and the Khadi Board, he organized a large-scale Self-Employment Awareness Conference, encouraging unemployed youth to pursue entrepreneurship and self-reliance.

Between 2006 and 2014, Maram Tirupathi Yadav served as the District Youth President of the Akhil Bharatiya Yadav Mahasabha for the united Karimnagar district.

Through peaceful protests, padayatras (foot marches), and an indefinite hunger strike, he compelled government authorities to sanction funds for road construction, ultimately securing the long-awaited infrastructure for local residents.

Justice for Avula Narsaiah

When poor shepherd Avula Narsaiah was deprived of benefits under the Government Sheep Distribution Scheme, Yadav personally led a nine-day hunger strike demanding justice.

Despite the victim's inability to afford even bus fare, Yadav stood firmly beside him until the government restored his rightful sheep unit.

The campaign became a powerful example of his unwavering commitment to the poor and marginalized.

Maram Tirupathi Yadav played a pioneering role in securing dedicated sheep and goat market infrastructure across Peddapalli district.

On 10 January 2025, he was conferred an Honorary Doctorate by the Global Human Peace University, Chennai, in recognition of his research on the Economic Development of Shepherd Communities and his authorship of a comprehensive guidance book for shepherds.
