Dr. Sanjay Chhetri completed his higher studies in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, including his studies at SRM University.
He subsequently moved towards civil-services-oriented preparation in Delhi and completed an IAS/UPSC preparation course at Drishti IAS, Delhi.

Transition to Social Welfare
In December 2019, after deciding to leave his previous service through resignation or voluntary retirement, Dr. Sanjay Chhetri chose to dedicate himself more directly to social welfare and public service.
Following this transition, he began developing his own social-welfare initiative, which became known as Jansamvad Social Welfare Council India.
The initiative was created with the objective of supporting people in need, promoting public awareness and encouraging greater social responsibility.
